The specific communities we hope to attract to this extended family event include: First Nations, Sikhs, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Baha'is, Hindus, Buddhists, Chinese, Dutch, Hispanic, Mexican, German, and other religious, spiritual, ethnic, social, cultural groups that enrich our part of the world.
All respectful participants (children, youth, adults,) are welcome and invited to organize displays, shows, folk/choral music, instrumental music, dances, ethnic food, cultural/religious events, family-based activities by local performers, artisans, craftsmen, businesses and venders.

A special planning workshop to organize faith-communities participation in the festival will be held on Saturday, June 21, 1-4pm, at Gladwin Heights United Church, 3474 Gladwin Road, Abbotsford (604-852-3984).
Theme of this workshop is “Cooperation & Service to Humanity.” It will help identify and develop their unique contributions to the Multicultural Festiva l, while introducing them to a significant cross-section of Abbotsford area multi-faith community. The participants, expressing the uniqueness of numerous faith communities, would enjoy fashioning a contribution to the Multicultural Festival and have a say in developing the blessings that will be rendered at opening-closing ceremonies. Those wishing to attend this workshop, send your name, contact Tele via email to Harold Rosen, chair of the Festival Religious Events committee (haroldrosen@shaw.ca) Tel: 604-854-1937.
